Searching for existing project folders can be taxing. It can be overwhelming when there are way too many projects. This way the introduction of search is the best thing since sliced bread. The search option is amalgamated with the folder name creation bar.
Below is an image of the same.
As visible from the above image, the folder has dual functions. It now doubles up as a search bar and folder creation bar thus, offering the best of both worlds.
For instance, Shawn is looking for a particular project. While he doesn’t remember the name of the project, he knows the name of the folder. Alternatively, he can look for it in the projects tab but, that would be time-consuming. This where folder search comes to his rescue.
All he has to do is type in the name of the folder and voila! The results show up. Below is an image of the same.
Watch the demo below to see how it works.
Let’s take another scenario.
Amber is a project manager at a firm. She is looking for a particular project so that she can send the deliverables to the client. As usual, she is manually searching for it. She equates this to searching for a needle in a haystack. One of the team members has mentioned the folder name in the 1-to-1 chat.
This is where folder search comes into the picture. All she has to do is go to the projects tab, click ‘Add project’. As the right pane opens, she just has to enter the folder name and the folder appears in a jiffy.
